Are you still undecided on what you'd like to do after you graduate? Should you go to college or not? Maybe you would like to learn how to create a monthly budget. Do you know the first steps in purchasing a home? What does it mean to have "good credit"? Do you have trouble managing your time while keeping the stress level low? Do you know what to look for when buying a used car? We will talk about all these things and MUCH more over the course of the semester.
There will be various speakers coming in to talk specifically about their area of expertise and we will do some hands-on learning like shopping efficiently at the grocery store and basic car maintenance. Can you change your own tire if you get a flat?
These are just a few pieces of what this class will cover. And I am open to your ideas as well! What are you curious about, or nervous about, as you get close to graduation? Let me know and we can talk about it!
If you think this is a class that interests you, please reach out to your school counselor or Mr. Jandreau to sign up. This class is being offered both semesters to hopefully accommodate students' schedules. I am really looking forward to teaching this next year and preparing you all for life after high school!
